MEMPHIS—Christian Brothers University softball coach Kimmi Hayden has announced the signing of Nashville pitcher Leigh Ann Henry to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Lady Bucs next spring.
Henry was a three-year starter at David Lipscomb HS in Nashville, striking out 514 batters in her career. She averaged 13.5 strikeouts per seven innings and finished with a career 1.39 ERA. As a junior and again as a senior, she ranked among the top five pitchers in Tennessee in total strikeouts.
Henry is the Lady Bucs' fifth signee of the spring, joining Olive Branch catcher Emily Schmidt, Murfreesboro Blackman infielder Lauren Dorsett, Carlsbad, Calif., pitcher Michelle McEachron, and Pulaski pitcher Kaylea Brewer.
